Steuart Padwick is an award winning British design company, specialising in furniture, lighting and product design.

The Steuart Padwick brand was launched in September 2009 to high acclaim and it has been one hell of a first few years, with sales across the UK, Europe and the States, as well as opening an office in the US in 2012!
As well as designing our own ranges which we sell directly we have been designing for other retailers, for example The Conran Shop, Heals and Made.com.

Buying

Many of the pieces shown here are available from a few carefully chosen retailers in the UK and directly from Steuart Padwick. If there is a particular piece you want to see, contact us and we can tell you where to find it.

Many of the designs can be tailored to suit you - just ask.

Manufacturing

Most of our designs are manufactured in the UK, but for higher volumes to suit commercial requirements we have manufactured in Italy, Hungary, Poland, Slovenia and China. At all stages we ensure high quality and ethically sourced materials.

Commissioning

We enjoy a challenge, be it a new product, developing a product range, or developing the retail strategy. So, whether you are a retailer wanting a new bedroom range, crockery, cutlery or lighting supplied/designed, or an individual wanting a complete interior, or even a bespoke one off piece, we are here to help.

Our aim is to design products and furniture that can be used in our daily lives, where the pleasure is gained both from the appearance and use of the object.

Designs frequently feature in publications from Living Etc, FX and Elle Deco to the FT, The Times and the Evening Standard.

Steuart Padwick launched as a brand at 100% Design in September 2009.

2009 Designbar.com becomes part of mydeco.com.

2005 - launched www.designbar.com - a design directory and information website, rapidly gaining membership across 33 countries worldwide.

2004 - launched Benchmark Furniture (www.benchmarkfurniture.com) for Terence Conran and Sean Sutcliffe.

1997 - As buyer for The Conran Shop sourced products across Europe and set up trading links with China.

First set up as a furniture designer/maker in 1980.

Trained at Parnham furniture college, and the Royal College of Art.
